As we walked past Rossini at Circular Quay during a recent visit to Sydney, I noticed a well-placed blackboard advertising ricotta-filled doughnuts. Having just returned home from the UK and Hungary, where curd-filled baked goods are divine, we made sure we stopped in for a taste-test. Lordy, they are good. Light, sweet, luscious. What Kayla Schimmel doesn't like about Rossini Cafe:
Had lunch with the family at Rossini at the Quay during a recent trip to Sydney. The location is amazing, right at the wharf looking directly at the Sydney Harbor Bridge. The food is average and the prices are very high. You do not get what you are paying for. No one hated their meal but no one raved about it either. Very vanilla. There are much better options in the Rocks or along the wharf. View all feedback.
On the first morning in sydney went to circular quay. rossini’s seemed to enjoy an attractive place to the breakfast and so it proved. stir eier speck with toast for me, roasted müsli for my wife and great coffee for both. great service, friendly staff, generous. I enjoyed a second coffee and felt well regretted to visit the various attractions in the environment.
Service was ok and view was good, but the food was terrible!!! For $100 we got 2 dodgy pasta dishes a bowl of chips an apple juice and 1 glass of bubbles. The risotto was the worst!! As in the worst I have ever had,...not pleasant at all!!! Rice was crunchy and the tomato sauce was so wrong and tasted awful!!! Pumpkin ravioli was at least eatable, but very disappointing!! Overall, do not recommend!!!
I have been going to Rossini’s for decades, great meet up spot, good coffee, today new wait staffmember was plain disrespectful rude, I acknowledge quality staff are hard to find but decades of great service currently being undermined
Location just great right in the quay at ferry terminal. Wonderful view of harbour and bridge. Nice place for casual Italian dining. I had the most wonderful cannelloni and other had a fabulous pepperoni pizza. Nice bottle of Chianti as well. We enjoyed it all.
Obviously you pay for the location, not the experience and certainly not the food. Overpriced and un appetising
