Was Krsta Jovelić at Rossini Cafe a mag?
As we walked past Rossini at Circular Quay during a recent visit to Sydney, I noticed a well-placed blackboard advertising ricotta-filled doughnuts. Having just returned home from the UK and Hungary, where curd-filled baked goods are divine, we made sure we stopped in for a taste-test. Lordy, they are good. Light, sweet, luscious. What Kayla Schimmel dislikes about Rossini Cafe:
Had lunch with the family at Rossini at the Quay during a recent trip to Sydney. The location is amazing, right at the wharf looking directly at the Sydney Harbor Bridge. The food is average and the prices are very high. You do not get what you are paying for. No one hated their meal but no one raved about it either. Very vanilla. There are much better options in the Rocks or along the wharf. View all feedback.

The worst service of all time. Bruschetta was only tomato. Where was the oil and the basil ??? Pretty sure that Bruschetta should contain these key ingredients. Price Wow, what is a **** tear. I do not mind paying these prizes when the service and food suit. Asked why Bruschetta was just chopped tomato was welcomed by extreme ruthlessness and arrogance and no explanation. Then it was hit with a surcharge of 10%, I thought of my own oh, it must be a holiday that then realized that it was only a weekend. What a joke. Grief

Great location right on the waterfront at Circular Quay - the perfect place to sit and watch Sydney go by, taking in the views on the Harbour Bridge while having something to eat.  We stopped by for coffee and afternoon tea on our visit to Sydney.  Stepping into the cafe was like being transported into old school Italy!  Service was good and the menu looked like it had all the Italian hits.  We tried the panacotta, which was presented beautifully and tasted light and smooth -perfect for a hot Sydney afternoon.  Perhaps being a Melburnian, I am overly sensitive to coffee - however, the coffee wasn't to my liking (burnt too).  Overall, I'd say this is a pretty solid establishment - a taste of Italy on Circular Quay.

Staying in a hotel nearby with the kidlets we decided it was pizza night. I found it quite difficult to find a pizza joint that was kid friendly so we decided to try Rossini. Big big mistake. This restaurant has not changed in service or furnishings since the 1980's! No money has been spent and it shows. We ordered baby calamari, margarita and supreme pizza. To start the pizza is quite small. Maybe slightly larger than a small pizza. So on average about 4 decent size slices. The base was thinish but very crusty almost like eating pita bread. I would assume they don't make there own bases. The topping on the supreme pizza was just awful. The salami & sasuage looked overcooked and not fresh. Just real nasty looking. Not much in toppings either. The pizza's at pizza Hut or domino's are probably better than this place. Prices here are expensive but that's what you expect eating right on the quay but what I do expect is good quality food that we definitely did not recieve. Give this place a miss!

On the first morning in sydney went to circular quay. rossini’s seemed to enjoy an attractive place to the breakfast and so it proved. stir eier speck with toast for me, roasted müsli for my wife and great coffee for both. great service, friendly staff, generous. I enjoyed a second coffee and felt well regretted to visit the various attractions in the environment.

Service was ok and view was good, but the food was terrible!!! For $100 we got 2 dodgy pasta dishes a bowl of chips an apple juice and 1 glass of bubbles. The risotto was the worst!! As in the worst I have ever had,...not pleasant at all!!! Rice was crunchy and the tomato sauce was so wrong and tasted awful!!! Pumpkin ravioli was at least eatable, but very disappointing!! Overall, do not recommend!!!
