Opera Bar
4.2 / 5 (13 reviews)

Description

Opera Bar in Sydney offers one of the best views in the city, situated right underneath the iconic Sydney Opera House. While the food may be considered average and a bit pricey, the drinks and atmosphere make it a great spot for a night out or sightseeing. The bar staff could improve their friendliness, but overall the service is good. The breathtaking views of both the opera house and the harbor bridge, along with live music and delicious fresh seafood, make Opera Bar a must-visit location in Sydney. One small critique is that the outside tables could use better lighting at night. Whether you're looking for a drink with a view or a memorable dining experience, Opera Bar has something for everyone.

I just love this place. The views are divine whichever way you turn - from outside, you get uninterrupted views of both the opera house and a panoramic view of the harbour bridge. There was live band on the night we went - they needed to turn these guys volume up though as they were great, but you could hardly hear them outside! The food was simply divine, oysters like I've never tasted them before. The generous serve of 10 tiger prawns was also a one-way ticket to foodie heaven. Whatever you do, try the fresh seafood, it is crazy good! One bit of feedback is to do something about the lighting on the outside tables at night, as it was a little too dark.

You're here for the view, since I didn't find this bar magnificent or anything. Didn't want to get any food here, because I doubt the food would be

Beautiful view and great service, it was extremely crowded (being a Saturday and an event going on at the opera house that's understandable) and good Chardonnay.
