Contribute FeedbackOlio offers a sophisticated dining experience in a historic setting, with a focus on fresh, homemade pasta and quality seafood. While many patrons appreciate the ambiance and attentive service, opinions on the food's consistency are mixed. Some dishes shine, particularly the crab pasta and decadent desserts, while others fall short, with complaints about temperature and flavor balance. The set menu is a hit among groups, but guests have noted a heavy focus on dairy in the early courses. Despite a few culinary missteps, Olio remains a recommended destination for special occasions and lovers of Italian cuisine.
Food was average. The arancini were really good but unfortunately everything else was average. The black ink crab pasta lacked flavour and had very little crab. The ragu pasta was nicer but not something you’d want to go back for. Servings were generous though. We didn’t try dessert. The service was a real problem. We had to ask 3 different waiters to have any request done. Maybe the staff were new but a few of the waitresses had no idea about anything.
Incredibly expensive for a very ordinary food. Very expensive seafood basket, 1/2 the food was overcooked and burnt.
Great experience. Amazing food including Burrata,Arancini,Swordfish and Squid ink pasta, all those are a must. We couldn't get our first option wine but received the chef's suggestion which was an amazing match with the food. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful and always on top of the service. Staff was very nice to let me change the time of my booking. Very satisfied that we picked up Olio over other options for my birthday's celebration thanks to one of our friends working there suggestion. Thanks a lot Olio.
Service was amazing, food served was well thought out and served with a great amount of time between courses. Food was full of flavour and well presented
Absolutely great experience. My husband and I came for lunch. Service was exceptional as they were quite accomodating I did not know the seafood platter had to be pre ordered, but when we asked they were happy to do so. And no regrets, it was beautiful! We finished off with the Olio and Millefoglie for dessert and they were a brilliant palette cleanser. Ambience was lovely, music was great (not too loud, you can actually hear each other talk), so great atmosphere for those that want an intimate or cosy meal. We will definitely be going back!
