Mr Wu - Sydney
Mr Wu
Description
A Chinese restaurant located in the food court of Broadway shopping centre offers a variety of dishes to choose from. While some reviewers found the food to be average and not very authentic, others were pleasantly surprised by the quick service, inviting atmosphere, and affordable prices. Standout items on the menu included the Peking Duck, xiao long bao, and beef dishes. The restaurant has evolved since opening in 2016, with a focus on high-quality food and excellent service. Overall, Mr Wu's is recommended for those looking for delicious dumplings and Chinese cuisine, conveniently located inside a shopping centre in Sydney.

After a year or so of anticipating the re-opening of the Broadway Shopping Centre I was have so happy jumping from food shop to food shop so finally it was
Delicious food, very nice and attentive staff, and incredibly generous servings. Would recommend this restaurant as one of the best Chinese in Sydney.
Do not recommend at all. I decided to try their lunch special. I ordered the Ma Pow Tofu with egg fried rice. The rice has no vegetables at all, and was extremely salty! To the point where it wasn't edible. The tofu dish was also too salty. Not worth the $15 - there's better and more affordable Chinese food in Sydney.
We decided to grab a quick bite before heading to a movie and stumbled upon this restaurant. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and we enjoyed the decor and cutlery. The service was efficient, even as the restaurant started to fill up - a popular spot. As first-time visitors, we decided to explore the diverse menu, although we noticed that most customers were opting for yum cha options. We chose the Peking Duck half, Wok fried beef with cumin, Yangzhou fried rice, green beans with pork mince, and xiao long bao. The standout dishes for us were the Duck, followed by the xiao long bao and the beef. The Duck was beautifully cooked with a crispy outside, the xiao long bao had a thicker skin than expected but a savory pork ball, and the beef was also very good, although a bit fatty at times. The green beans with pork mince dish is usually a favorite of mine, but it lacked flavor this time. However, the beans were firm and crunchy. We skipped dessert and opted for ice cream elsewhere. The total cost, including tea and a soft drink, was 107 AUD, which seemed a bit pricey for lunch. The portion sizes were generous, and we ended up taking home some leftovers, except for the duck. The pricing was similar to other Chinese restaurants serving the same dishes, but in my opinion, it fell slightly short when compared to its competitors.
Many restaurants boast about having the best dumplings, but more often than not, they disappoint. However, this is not the case at Mr. Wu's on Broadway. They consistently serve up incredibly fresh and well-cooked dishes that tantalize the tastebuds and leave you feeling very satisfied. In terms of quality, it rivals the best dumplings I've had in Asia. The restaurant is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the food court, with comfortable seating arrangements that allow for plenty of space between tables. The staff is both efficient and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.
