We were staying in the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel and this was just a short walk away. It was busy being breakfast time on a weekday, but breakfast was organised in an efficient and timely manner. View all feedback.
What Kamren Murphy doesn't like about Mcdonald's Family Restaurants:
you have to wait past 11AM if you crave for your favorite mcdonald's meal you know back in the states, else, just be treated with mcdonald's australia's breakfast meals. View all feedback.
I love Macca's hot breakfasts and using their self serve touch screen to order exactly what I want to eat is terrific. I was here on a Saturday morning around 10am, placed my order on the touch screen, received my hot breakfast 1 minute later. Unfortunately all coffees are now handled by the McCafe staff, a few steps away from the main counter but you wouldn't know it was the same efficient crew. I waited 7 minutes at least for them to catch up with their orders screen, my hot breakfast cooling down, before receiving my flat white. What amazed me was the staff producing orders after mine in the number system ie my order was #153 yet they produced the coffees for orders 154 to 163 ahead of mine.I'll keep eating at this Macca's as it's close to my destination but that's the only reason.
Want a burger that you are familiar with from back in the United Stated then here is the place to go. There are some menu items that you may not see in the U.S. but you can get a Quarter Pounder just like home. And definitely cheap ways compared to other restaurants serving burgers.
Well it's in the city so you wouldn't expect anything less in the early morning but one would have thought staff would have noticed it before I had to point it out to them
Was in area and had to kill some time. Spotted and said let's try this again. The Smokey BBQ Roll meal is great. I hope they have this in the USA when I return.
This particular Macca's suffers from being in a bad location on Saturday nights so close to pubs and random acts of violence on the footpath outside the store, requiring police intervention. However on a Saturday morning in the heart of Sydney, with loads of tourists around emerging from nearby hotels, it is a fantastic place to eat breakfast. The ground floor and level 1 dining are spotless, everything is polished clean and all eight of the self-serve touch screen menus are working perfectly. I ordered, via touch screen, a Hotcakes big breakfast with a latte coffee. I collected my food order from the counter; the counter hand directed me over to the McCafe counter to collect my hot coffee. What surprised me was that the McCafe counter hand only made my coffee the second after I collected my tray of hot food - they didn't make the coffee, letting it grow cold, but waited for the food to be cooked and delivered first, then made the coffee. Very good food delivery computer system linking the two kitchens to each other!
