What User doesn't like about Mamma Mui:
I haven't dimmed here since the first year of opening, but thought we'd deliver it tonight. I have rinderpho, in Mamma-Mili sauce, and the five spicy boar with rice. I hope it was only one night, but I was seriously underwhelmed, the seven were bland and tasted like unseasonal blackmine unfortunately. the five spicy pork was beautiful, but the red rice was so dry, it was hard to swallow, the fish sauce dressing was a... Amazing what you find in the entertainment book. Mamma Mui is a small family owned restaurant in Bexley serving traditional Vietnamese cuisine. The restaurant is only opened in the evenings, so reservations is highly recommended because it’s at capacity by 7pm (max. 25ppl). The restaurant is small but cosy. It doesn’t have a proper reception or bar area it’s all integrated into the dining space. There’s a specials board which you should look out for some amazing food. The menu is straightforward and simple to choose from but doesn’t provide any photos. There’s only 2-3 pages so selecting a dish is much easier than looking at 10 pages that you would find at other restaurants. All the dishes are delicious especially the sugarcane prawn vermicelli salad, lemongrass chicken, beef pho and fried banana with ice cream. The Mamma Mui egg noodle was so so which probably lacked some ingredients to lift the dish it needed. The portion of the dish are large enough for one person, but ordering more dishes allows you to share and taste more variety. There is only one staff member in the dining area taking orders, phone calls, serving both in house guests and takeaway but she seemed pretty efficient handing everything. Lastly, if you have entertainment book you can take advantage of the voucher and get a 25% up to $20 off.
I had a fantastic meal at this restaurant! The service was average, and the atmosphere was okay. The price per person was between A$20 and A$40. I highly recommend trying the Beef Noodle Soup Pho, Lemongrass Chicken with Rice, and Five Spice Pork Tomato Rice.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mamma Mui's restaurant and as a refrigerator technician, I was impressed by the immaculate cleanliness of their kitchen. It is evident that they prioritize sanitation and hygiene, which is essential for food safety. The refrigeration units were pristine and well-maintained, ensuring that ingredients are stored at the correct temperature. This level of attention to detail not only demonstrates their commitment to quality, but also guarantees a safe and enjoyable dining experience for all patrons. Mamma Mui's dedication to cleanliness in the kitchen is truly commendable, and it comes as no surprise that their delicious food matches the high standard of their hygiene. I give them five stars!
Really loved the food here. Super homely authentic Vietnamese Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
This is one of our favorite pho restaurants. The food and service are excellent, and the owners are extremely friendly. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious – you can't go wrong here. We rate the service, atmosphere, and food all a perfect 5 out of 5. We recommend trying the Beef Noodle Soup Pho.
