I have visited the restaurant a few times now and the food is always nice. Very tasty and very hot. Prices are reasonable. Very small inside but comfortable. The Ramen is my favourite to order. View all feedback.
What Edwardo Simonis doesn't like about Kura:
I frequent Kura often. Their menu is extensive and quite affordable. There's two parts to the restaurant- an upstairs large seating area and downstairs bar type seating. Service is pretty quick and efficient with the iPads. Reccomend if you are looking for a decent cheap meal. View all feedback.
Taking away this time, however this Japanese restaurant has been one of my favourite place to go, prices are friendly, must try Takoyaki. Small dining room inside however they do have outside tables, nice place to fill your tummy and have a casual chat with your friends. I love chicken Karage, Katsu ! Yes i do like deep fried foods. ???????? KURA at DIXON
Always go there to get their tsukune-don (chicken meatball) and it is always very scrumptious. Very good customer service. They used to have the beef tongue meal which they stopped now. It was a winner too. Please bring the beef tongue back :(
My go to go place for Japanese curry. I have been their loyal customers for a while then stop after they changed their menu :( But again, their curry is really good. Psst. Bring back the old menu!
The food is just alright, small quantities, waitress missed our last dish order and let us wait for never-arrived food for 15 mins. When we asked about it, she went to just order. So I asked to cancel.
A great little hole in the wall in Chinatown, Kura is excellent for satisfying any type of Japanese food craving. Their menu is extensive and varied, covering everything from sushi and sashimi, to bento, to ramen, to udon, to curry, and many more. You order from an iPad (great for introverts like myself! ????) and service is generally quite prompt. Staff are friendly and attentive and whenever I've been, the restaurant hasn't been too busy. I ordered the unagi don (eel rice bowl) which came with salmon sashimi, udon noodles, sweet potato in a caramel sauce and then a small salad. For those that are a little freaked out, I highly recommend trying eel! It has this beautiful, sweet flavour that works really really well with teriyaki sauce. The eel was cooked to perfection and was an absolute joy to eat. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, and the udon noodles came in a lovely fish broth with nori. The sweet potato was a great inclusion, almost like a little dessert! I did not get to the salad (I'm not a huge salad person anyway). I will definitely be coming here again!!
