Contribute Feedback What Joaquin Green likes about Hero Sushi:
A very neat sushi outlet with smooth presentation located in the new Gateway Food Court. There is a wide selection of perfectly stacked sushi roles served by polite, well-presented staff. We had the usual tuna and avocado roll ($ 3.00) and salmon and avocado roles (3.50 USD). View all feedback.
What Shad O'Conner doesn't like about Hero Sushi:
we went to hero Sushi-Gateway, circular quay to eat dinner last night during the lively festival. it is disappointing . the service is bad at this location. there is no great option to choose in sushi train and they need to order what they want. they gave our orders a little late and the last eating we ordered never came after waiting for long time, perhaps more than minutes, so simply decided to leave, although we a... I have to give a shout at my favorite sushi place. all places to choose in a food dish and he and my niece immediately went to hero sushi. and then again for more. and then a few days later when we were back (gateway is a great cheap option to eat in circular quay), he was back. he eats a lot of sushi, so I trust his mind!
Just wanted a quick sushi fix for lunch, so opted for their food court outlet rather than the train upstairs. However the pre-packs choices were a bit limited, salmon salmon more salmon, and in big boxes too. Got a few individual pieces, they are still giant pieces! They looked a little average, not too bad, but the seafood topping on a couple of pieces fell off came loose. The flavours are tasty, but the rice was bit dense had bit too much mayo.
Love hero sushi. I like to be able to order one or two small pieces as a snack! I always get the same thing but today went for a scallop instead, as they didn't have my regular favourite the spicy salmon. Got the normal salmon too. Always fresh and cheap too.
Located in the new gateway food court Hero Sushi has beautifully presented options with the selection of individual sushi or pre made mix boxes. I went for the mini avocado rolls and the chicken katsu box both were nice and reasonably priced. There are some black rice sushi rolls on offer but unfortunately no brown rice options. Everything you would expect from your standard sushi takeaway and in a great location.
