This is a great place to go for evening drinks. Take in the view, enjoy the good food and buzz in the atmosphere. One of my favourites. It has just done some renovations, should be better than ever. View all feedback.
What Winifred Lynch doesn't like about Hacienda:
Don't judge the quality of food by the prices. They simply reflect the high rent of running an bar in Circular Quay. You're better off going to The Opera Bar for a great view. Better food and view.
Don't order the Mai Tai cocktail. Quite bad. View all feedback.
Made a quick stop here for pre drinks before a diner booking somewhere else and I was really disappointed with the quality of the cocktails, really watery and no flavor felt like having cocktails at a club but double the price. The only thing that made the experience a little more enjoyable was the great service of a French waiter and the view! But not going back...
The view from this bar is amazing. And that's probably the only good thing I can say about this place. So my advice - have just 1 drink here, enjoy the view and go to some place better. Staff here not too friendly. Saw them mixing up some orders too. Music could improve. It's a shame that they've got a great spot but just aren't managing this place properly.
It was beautiful night and the view and drink was ok. But we seated at the corner of the floor so we couldn't really enjoy the view after seated. We ordered soup of the day, pizza and Beef burger. I never had that tasteless food ever. The soup was awful so many fibres left in my mouth, the pizza dough was too too hard like a rocks and taste was so bad. And we realised the beef burger didn't have beef patty!!(How come the cook forget beef patty for a beef burger?! ) We were so disappointed...but it was so funny they forget the beef... After the meal we both got sick....seriously. never ever come back.
Disappointed! The place and the view looks really nice but I big disappointment on the service. Got there at before 7pm for dinner. Asked the waiter if there are any table available and all I got from the waiter response was " there are no tables available at the moment , just wait at the bar". I was completely okay to wait at the bar but there was No waiting system at all. The waiters keeps running around and I cannot see anyone is actually looking after for the guests who are waiting for the table! I waited for an hour and NO ONE inform me how many more table or how long do I need to wait. I saw few people waiting for the table as well and they all look pretty lost or impatient. I saw a couple walk to a empty table but then the staff asked them to wait at the bar. There wasn't much table and the turnaround is not high at all. After an hour of waiting, my friend and I just decided to go somewhere else without even trying the food.
Great little place. Lovely area with an awesome view of the harbour. Food was expensive for what you get, but we had a scoopon which made it worthwhile. The lamb pizza was to die for. I wish I could eat it for the rest of my life. The cocktails ruled and the staff were very attentive and friendly. It was an awesome experience for my first night in Sydney.
