Good coffee spot set in the historic GPO. Must do for business folk and tourists alike. Coffee and service is usually good but getting a seat can be a bit tricky as there are a number of large office blocks nearby and it's a popular place for meetings View all feedback.
What Pariya K doesn't like about GPO Maximus Cafe:
The cafe is located inside a building complex (atrium). It's cosy if you're tired of the outside and street noise. We ordered a hot chocolate which was ok. The cappuccino was good. We also got a friands which was ok, it didn't feel fresh or home made. In general the experience and quality was average, nothing special. The place is good for grabbing a quick coffee, reading a book, or meet up with a friend to talk with... View all feedback.
The staff at Maximus cafe are exceptional when it comes to service. Located in the historic General Post Office building, the cafe has a lovely open setting that makes it perfect for a quick stop or a convenient spot for a coffee meeting any day.
Maximus Cafe, located within GPO Grand, offers a strategic position to enjoy the surroundings. It was a great place to celebrate International Coffee Day with friends. The cappuccino ($4.80) had a strong and smooth flavor, though slightly on the pricey side. However, if ordered as a takeaway, it's much cheaper, costing less than $3.50. Keep in mind that if you choose to sit down, you will need to order something to eat. They also offer simple sandwiches and a good affogato for $6.50. Thank you to @saint_anderson_cafe for capturing a photo of me with my coffee.
The coffee at this restaurant is fantastic. I particularly enjoy their breakfast menu. I will definitely be bringing my friends here next time.
Only coffee that I enjoyed today, the service could have been faster
