Was Clara Tarvainen at Fred's a mag?
American Chef Danielle Alavarez (ex Chez Panisse, The French Laundry, California) is at the helm at Fred’s, one of Sydney’s most beautiful restaurants. The heritage fit-out, the open kitchen is the stuff of dreams. Well my dreams, at least. As soon as you walk into Fred’s you are made to feel special. The service is faultless. The food, which is all about sustainable produce and has a Mediterranean influence, is fres... View all feedback.
What Vicențiu Ion dislikes about Fred's:
Average ratings because we felt the pricing here is rather exorbitant. Canapes are $18 each and luckily we didn’t order after seeing other tables. Lamb was $70 for TWO cutlets!! It was good but 2 pcs is just ridiculous. The pear tarte tartin is $40 and delicious but $40??!! That tarte ultimately filled our tummy. In conclusion, we won’t return. We subsequently went to Mimi’s the next day and was much better value. Tha... View all feedback.
Freds is one of my favorite establishments in sydney, I visit every time I show up. with a bar in front of the house and a huge restaurant along an open kitchen. they always try to get a table in the kitchen to watch the chef at work. cavier pfannkuchen delicious esp if you want, cavier, great to try once, but pricy. sea fish ceviche light summer take. they change each time and I'm never disappointed. pasta is always a kind of pasta also never disappointed lamb shoulder with yogurt lamb is slowly stuffed and wood-fired ... crashes apart and is perfect with the yogurt large dining room experience with lots of space for various big parties.
It is a very pleasant meal with great service. the service and food quality is at the top. canapés 9/10 quite pricy, but so delicious. although this is quite pricy, but her aioli sauce is one must try. mains 8/10 taste is on point, lamb shoulder and hard fish recommended sides 8/10 love it not so pricy, economical and armor was dessert 9/10 for the Choux-Backe 6/10 for the crepe, as the sauce has a lil burnt taste. definitiw a good mood, ambiente, service and good food. Total 8.5/10
