We wanted something casual which was difficult to find in this touristy section of Sydney for dinner. There is a food court down the street, but most of the places close early for dinner. You go up to counter to order and pay. Dumplings were good, I would stick to them. We ordered a stir fry dish which was mediocre due to the sweet hoisin based sauce, not a fan. The food at this restaurant is excellent. I tried the pork dumplings with soup inside and they were very good. My dining companion ordered a lamb dish and loved it. I couldn't resist getting the pork buns as well, which were also amazing. The menu has many delicious options and I wish I lived closer so I could come back more often. Unfortunately, I live too far away to likely visit again, but I wish I could try more of the food here.
Please give this restaurant a try! I absolutely loved everything I tried. The dumplings and other dishes were really good, and I especially enjoyed the duck pancakes. This place is located in the heart of the city.
The dumpling eatery place is casual and relaxed, with excellent food that remains delicious after relocating to 167 Kent Street, Millers Point. The restaurant is very popular and has a front terrace area for dining and drinks, as well as happy hour drinks available from 5 pm on weekdays. Reservations can be made by calling 02 9247 9450. There are also more dining tables in the back room with a water view overlooking Barangaroo.
High turnover so always fresh. the steamed dumplings are so good, but have never had a bad dish.
