Despite their collaboration with Halfcut and fundr... read more The bar has a cool look, and I'm sure the cocktails and food are good, but I would not recommend going there. Despite their collaboration with Halfcut and fundraising for 'Save the Daintree', as a lifelong resident, I can assure you that the Daintree has already been saved. To make matters worse, Halfcut is associated with Rainforest 4, who operate under various names on Facebook and have expressed plans to buy back all of the Daintree. While they claim to be returning land to the indigenous people, their actions do not align with the aspirations of the local community. There are other local conservation groups that are more deserving of support, as Daintree Sydney is backing the wrong cause. I recommend finding food and drinks elsewhere until they align themselves with the true needs of the Daintree community.

I almost decided not to place an order because they seemed unable to answer basic questions about their menu. However, the food turned out to be fresh and tasty once it arrived, despite the initial confusion. Unfortunately, the service was lacking throughout the meal.
