A must visit when I'm in Sydney. China Lane with its singing canary birdcages creates the perfect atmosphere. It was too cold to sit outside and take in the atmosphere, however inside was comfortable and definately warmer. The food was fantastic. Great choice and variety, freshly prepared and its usual high standard. Absolutely delicious and well presented.Staff were friendly and service was good.I do, however, prefer... View all feedback.
What Mack Simonis doesn't like about China Lane:
we got a table right near the service area, which should not be offered for customers. we wanted to be moved, but it was said that there were no other tables, although we take “Wander-Ins”. eating was good and gluten-free options are fantastic. but it was ridiculously loud and busy. insist on an outside seat and hope it is not rainy. I wouldn't eat there again. View all feedback.
The China-Lane is located in the CBD in a cool Laneway, with sounds of chirping birds and beautiful birdcages hanged from above. A modern and excellent Chinese restaurant with a nice selection in the menu. The king mushrooms and mackerel were delicious. Excellent presentation. The San Choy Bao was disappointing and overpriced. We could not fit into the dessert, but there were a few tempting options. Maybe next time.
This is a very strange restaurant. It is a potpourri with spices and herbs from East to Southeast Asia. The courts do not quite properly make the influence, and they are never sure whether it is intentionally for their fusion sensitives, or is only bad technology. It gets worse if you combine dishes from different regions. The price is a real disappointment. Grief Also: Cucumbers should be free. $ 8 is a travesty.
Asian fusion restaurant on little track. Nice, trendy and romantic. The hanging birdcages are definitely a feature. Grief Grief Food..hmmm I found it a little average. Can be my standard, was high as it was set by chin kin in Melbourne. Grief Food was a bit too oily. It tastes good.
