With Darwin songstress Leah Flanagan providing her soulful tunes, it was a leisurely lunch for us at the Art Gallery of NSW; one of three venues partaking in the Corroboree festivities. View all feedback.
What Scot Spencer doesn't like about Cafe at the Gallery:
Served by zombies that do not listen. Terrible coffee, that was lukewarm. I will not come back here. Agree with the previous evaluation that 140 characters required to provide this rating is stupid. View all feedback.
The hotel is located in the art galleries of nsw, this is a perfect place for energy recharge and recreation with friends. I really like the self-service concept of this caffe, it is somehow the feeling to be in a school kantine or in a Japanese restaurant. they grab their tablet and cutlery, choose what they want while they move along the kiosk, then they pay for it at the end. I would avoid baked goods like quiches and cakes because they are nothing special. if they are willing to go for roasted meat and salad, but intentional as some salads really bland and taste strange. the pumpkin soup with toast and butter, which was really delicious. if the caffe seasonal menu with local products, I think her eating would taste...read more
Service is a little lacking at this ultra busy cafe, it's almost as if they didn't realize smiling was a thing. Nevertheless the coffee is a bit meh it's a little on the Luke warm side and a little watery overall. Tried a few cakes and they were moist and nice but they're practically thrown at you when you order them. Although I would say the custard tart is a little weird with the combination of spices infused in the custard. I'd advise not to sit outside. Those lorrikeets know no fear
Unclean and unsanitary utensils and dishware but nice food and food. I was hesistant to review this restaurant, i have been to the restaurant on numerous occasions and initially could not be more pleased with the service and quality of the food. Perhaps I was oblivious to the issues before, but this time the cutlery still had food scraps on it, plates had dried up food on it from other customers meals, the milk from the tea was served with dust and dirt in it, even water glasses were stained and filthy. I would honestly get cleaner more sanitary utensils and dishware at McDonalds! Meals were still tasty but the condition of everything else brought down the enjoyment of visiting such a...read more
Two of us bought a panini and a baguette, both were identical rolls and were cooled and soggy. the filling of crowning chickens and Brie cheeses were tender and inconspicuous. at $15 each, I won't return. Jaw
A tad expensive, and the Soup of the Day is more expensive than the $9 advertised on the front board. But it's not as bad as people make it out to be. Have the pie/sausage roll with a coffee and you'll be fine.
