What Kiel Ritchie dislikes about Burger Project:
This used to be our favorite burger spot in Sydney, but it's time to look for a new place. Why did they change the menu? The "classic" burger now comes with cheese, pickles, mustard, and secret sauce, but no lettuce, tomato, or onion. Doesn't sound very classic... Our order took 25 minutes for 3 burgers and 2 orders of chips, and there were 4 of us. Our teenage son didn't even order a burger this time because he thou... View all feedback.
Went there on a Monday afternoon with a group of friends and it was pretty empty which was surprising.
Over prices burgers with salty fries cooked in onion flavored oil yuck 1850 for burger water and fries never again .
Burger Project Review. I got 'The Aussie' burger together with a fries and drink. 'The Aussie' is a burger with a grass-fed beef patty, beetroot, cheese, onion, pickles, tomato, lettuce and secret sauce. The 'Aussie' element in this burger would have to be the beetroot. Chewing into this burger was a delight as the beef patty was tender and thick. The beef patties here are cooked to medium which is what leads to the amazing texture and juiciness of the patty. The bun was tasty and it was a brioche bun. The beetroot added a nice sweet tang to the burger and the rest of the veggies were crisp and fresh. The fries were crispy and not too salty. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a slightly more upmarket burger spot. There is also a free flow of tomato sauce and American mustard so that is a huge plus.

Our order took 25 minutes for 3 burgers and 2 orders of chips, and there were 4 of us. Our teenage son didn't even order a burger this time because he thought they were so bad (he used to want 2). We decided to try the new Darrel Lea smash desserts, but that ended up taking another 25 minutes. We spent an hour and $85 for a quick burger and ice cream. We won't be returning anytime soon.
