Blackbird Cafe Sydney in the trendy Cockle Bay Wharf Gastronomy has the best bird eye view of Darling Harbour. It also has the most delicious modern Australian cuisine, amazing cocktails with a large vibe. The Lollipop prawns in sriracha butter sauce, lime and bronze fennel are a must, like the creamy crab, prawn lobster ravioli. The pork ribs melt in the mouth tender and you will not go wrong to order the BBQ meat p... View all feedback.
What Twila Bashirian doesn't like about Blackbird Cafe:
I came here for my best friend's birthday dinner on a very warm Monday night. She had organised one of the set menus excluding drinks. The food overall was satisfying as Blackbird offered all-you-can-eat styled catering. The tomato bruschetta (appetiser) and spaghetti bolognaise (main) were the favourites at my table.
The only disappointment of my experience here was how poorly the bar was stocked. I was denied 3 of... View all feedback.
Blackbird is in such a great position, and her team was really friendly and accommodating our group booking. Unlike other places we considered, they had no problems coordinating individual orders for us so we didn't have to find out later to share an invoice. Drinks (also cocktails) were basically instant and food was really fast arriving. The service was prompt, warm and controversial, and it was really obvious that they were cared for our needs. The venue itself is ideal for group bookings, as the mixture of indoor and outdoor settings and spacious floor plan allows you to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of Cockle Bay in a hospitable environment without interrupting other mozens. They are a contemporary "Balkon Bar Meets Garden Restaurant ' located in a great place and connected to the needs of their customers.
There were happy hour drinks, but all happy hour cocktails are prefabricated and doesn't taste well. was slowly always table service to order food and water.
When we arrived, 6.07 a.m. after sitting, the employees came with happy hour drink menu (happy hours at the end of 6:00 p.m.) it was our first time that we were so not sure that the happy hours were finished, as the staff gave us menu so that we ordered from the happy hour menu, without saying that it was not the happy hour price. The food came, we ate all meals without drinking, we asked them a few times that we wait for the drinks, finally the drink came after 50 minutes. Then we asked for the bill, the bill came with the full price for the drink, so we asked the waiting staff. She went to get the manager, and he is very rude, we tried to explain that her staff was the one who gave us the happy hour menu, but he was not taken over any responsibility and said that there was a mistake from his employees who gave us the happy hour menu, we were happy to pay, but was not very happy about how the manager treated with the siuation and not even having to apologize for the drinks that we had to wait 50 minutes. If you want to experience a good dinner, don't go to this place. In any case, no one recommends to go there and will definitely not return there again
Service was absolutely terrible, had to run around to find a waitress to take our order after entrees waited almost an hour before cleaning the table itself and go to a waiter and ask them to take our main order, and so we could order some drinks, had to run around again to find cutlery and napkins, us, food was nice and well cooked, just a shame that such a terrible service would never be ruined by such a terrible service.
It's a great location and with lovely views. The service is slow, my drink order was wrong 3 times and we nearly got charged 4 times the price on the last bill though we were paying as we go. The waitress knew the people on the table next to ours and I watched them get THREE rounds of drinks in the time we were waiting for our 1 round... I guess i am just grateful the happy hour is so good value.
