Find us on instagram: loveatfirstbite_aus Convenient cafe located in the Sydney CBD that does coffee, breakfasts and lunches. Came here for a lunch with my team and ordered the beef burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato and a side of fries. We also got catering from the place and they do a good selection of sandwiches and these delicious scrolls! They have a basic menu, nothing fancy but sufficient for a quick weekday lunch and the coffee is good too. instagram.com
A convenience place to make appointment on the centre of business district , A full body coffee with a random single origin every week from white horse coffee and bassett espresso , a pleasant customer service , a cozy place to meet up , and a variety of sweet treat and brunch menu , i would recommend to come back !!
Coffee was ok but service was very slow and did I mention sticky attitude? First the two staff completely blanked me for at least a few minutes, it seemed they got confused with orders and had some backlog. Then the first thing they said to me was "can you move up this way this is the queue." No one was in front of me so it's not like I was trying to jump the queue. Besides there was no signage or anything to indicate where the queue should be, so why they gave me attitude! I didn't want to put up with the attitude and walked to the other side of the lobby where they had another cashier. This time I had no problems with ordering but took ages to get my coffee! I had breakfast here a few times as well, this morning I had salmon with smashed avocado. Oh dear it was unbelievably salty. I could taste the salt crystals in the avocado and salmon. It was nearly inedible and I drank a whole bottle of water after that. thernbdiary.com
A nice place in a central location for having a quick meeting or finishing some work while enjoying coffee and some corporate vibes!
So far, I've tried the Angus cheeseburger, miso blackened salmon salad, and seared ruby tuna salad. While all the dishes were tasty and well-presented, I found the portions to be quite small. I understand that many people working in this area are health-conscious and prefer lighter meals, and I personally don't eat a lot, but I did leave feeling a bit hungry after lunch. Unless you order extra sides like fries or avocado, the meals are rather small, leading to a feeling of having overpaid. For instance, the Angus cheeseburger, priced at $16 for dine-in, did not come with chips or a salad—just the burger itself, which consisted of two buns, a beef patty, and a slice of cheese. Only upon cutting it in half did I discover some pickles. I ordered a side of chips for an extra $3, which filled only half the plate. Without the chips, I would have been left feeling quite disappointed paying $16 for such a small burger. On another occasion, I ordered a basket of fries for $6 to share among three people. While it was indeed served in a basket, it was disappointingly small—almost the same amount of fries as I got on my plate with the cheeseburger. In conclusion, while this café is a nice option for business meetings or a quiet coffee, I personally won't return regularly for lunch. It costs around $20 or more for a small salad plus a side just to feel like I've had a meal. There are plenty of dining options in the area. If they manage to improve their portion sizes, I would recommend it to others. My husband, on the other hand, is unlikely to return if the portions remain small, as he is quite the hearty eater. That said, I would still consider visiting this café for a slightly special catch-up when I want a quiet and clean environment, which can be hard to find in this area during peak lunch hours, and that serves good food.
