What Ben Dickens doesn't like about Bekya:
I guess if you want a mid-range felafel roll it's ok. The felafel was average (not herb intensive as they describe) but was put back in the fryer for a bit of nice crisp. The roll had pickles and hommus but was rather small. Basically a bit better but smaller and more expensive (with x.90 pricing and an attempt to upsell on an unusually expensive combo) than typical kebab shops while cheaper but smaller and inferior... Tried this place at the new Gateway food court down at Circular Quay. The chicken shawarma wrap was very nice. Good flavours and the wrap itself was nice and chewy. They also have 'boxes' if you want a choice of 2 salads with your meal instead of a wrap. View all feedback.

read moreBekya, located in the newly renovated Gateway food court, offers a variety of Middle Eastern options from boxes to wraps. Customers can choose from protein, salad, rice, and dip options, all of which are flavorful and well-priced. The lamb Shawarma, Tabouleh, Egyptian rice, and Hommus are all delicious on their own but even better together. The staff are known for being efficient and polite, with some regulars even receiving extra Sriracha sauce with their order. While some found the felafel to be average and lacking in flavor, the grilled lamb wrap and chicken Shawarma options received positive reviews for their taste and quality. Overall, Bekya at Circular Quay has become a favorite lunch spot for many who appreciate fresh and tasty Middle Eastern cuisine at affordable prices.
