Some have expressed disappointment with the lack of customer service, atmosphere, and quality of food at the restaurant. Complaints range from uninviting staff to odd beer selections and a confusing ordering system. Despite this, there were some positive notes, with guests praising the selection of sausages and beers, as well as the attentiveness of certain staff members. The restaurant offers a variety of German beers and dishes, with large portions and a modern atmosphere. While there may be some inconsistencies in service and food quality, the Bavarian Bier Cafe in Sydney remains a popular spot for those looking for a unique dining experience in the CBD.
The experience I had last night was the worst I can ever remember in a restaurant. we went for a small Christmas meeting that was pre-ordered. they tried to change the price on us. they can not order at the cash, only by a table...code, and then, no matter how they pay them at the end, they pay another percentage per piece transaction fee. were happy of the drawing. I went for the gay guy like my colleague. he was three times as big as my sad offer. at one point a beer was brought over and we were not sure what it was or who had ordered. a colleague took one swallow of it, only for him 5 minutes later and served another table, although he was drunk and we told the serving. no atmosphere, overpriced and unluber service. avoid it.
I'm here as the past of her cuty festival. the service was good and no problem with the application of the app for ordering as this seems the way and wise as the dinge on this day. the “giant” pork was however...letdown it was definitiw not gigantic and the pig itself was only a thin piece and the brot was undercooked on the inside. very disappointing, not more than the $10 they accused. each pub would serve a better cut. they also calculated $4 for a tiny tub of simple gravitation, which was bland, like the koleslaw. the beer was the winner, the paulan pilsner was great. but will not go back.
I don't know what happened to this place, but an old favorite is now a place where I don't return anymore. three friends and I come here once in a quarter to recover and remember, etc. but even the nostalgia has it easy. no longer the same place. the atmosphere has died and not because of covid, but because of the lack of customer service. I had delivered my carvings to my table sans cutlery and it took an old to wave someone to ask for it. the workers do everything to prove why Australians do not exist in the rule type. the new system of order that they force to use it and then calculate two separate surpluses for the 'privileg' of use it is spectacularly buried. the food quality has decreased in the course of the years, and my friends claim the portion sizes, although I'm uncertain on this. all round, quite disappointing. at the end of the night, all three friends and I agreed that we will go to the next pick up in the suburbs.
$2 for bbq sauce is penny pinching and a poor customer experience, ordering via an app at table (which didn't work on my I Phone 10) adds up to zero atmosphere, relying on their name, wouldn't rush back
Very disappointing to find no waiters, no atmosphere, and no service. Food ok but not what it used to be. You have to order on app on your phone no menu to browse) and pay in advance. They even request a tip for the...non existent staff! before you order your meal. So not what it used to be. Never going back.
