What Botnía Einvarðs doesn't like about Bambini Trust Wine Room:
The food was not as good as usual! Portions for main dishes were so small! And I thought the whole experience was overpriced! Has been several times before and never disappointed as I was this time View all feedback.
This is a fabulous little wine bar. From the minute you walk in you are looked after. It is a small, intimate space but this only adds to the ambiance. Great wine list. Truffle popcorn is a treat on each of the tables. You feel like you have stepped back in time to a period of elegance and romance.
I ordered the grilled scampi and bambini prawn spaghetti. The grilled scampi was overdone and hard The prawn spaghetti was undercooked and hard. The sauce does not appear to mix with the spaghetti too. Perhaps a thicker seafood broth will taste better
Selected by my favourite workday breakfast buddy, this previously unknown to me place was a delight. Everything was just fine and sweet! The highest priced regular coffee I have come across outside of Perth but also the best in the CBD I have tasted so we were off to a great start. We were 'fitted in' as it seems bookings are wise even for breakfast at 7:30. The dining space is not large and the food is very very good so there is good reason why. I had the frittata - very generously sized, light as a sponge cake and full of flavours from the prosciutto and chèvre cheese. My delightful companion had the Alaskan crab omelette which I stole a taste of. This was delicious and will be my choice next time. Friendly staff and a cosy ambience to top off the savoury delights. Rarely do I recommend however in this case I offer this one up as well worth a visit. A long lunch is next up for us.
Elegant and delightful!!! We were treated beautifully right from arrival, when we had an aperitif outside overlooking the park- so European!!! Through being escorted to our seating with attentive but not in your face staff. The menu and specials of the day were superb- we enjoyed the Sydney rock oysters particularly and the sirloin was a magnificent piece of meat perfectly cooked, although the grid accompanying were good, they were a bit overwhelming and didn't add much to the meat. The wine list was fun and a number of exciting quirks- we finished with a superb 1981 Armagnac. Overall fantastic, and in short we'll be back!!!
Incredible food and wine! We ordered the spatchcock and the spaghettini with prawns. It was perfect. The venue is gorgeous and ideal for an intimate dinner. The only negative is we waited outside for 20 mins despite having a booking. Given it was Valentine's Day we hope this isn't a regular occurrence.
