Was Trang Le at Alexas a mag?
We ordered chicken skewers with peanut sauce, grilled beef ribs, beef tripe in coconut soup, crunchy anchovies with peanuts as a side, and some white rice. The flavors were well-balanced, and the beef ribs were particularly delicious. The chicken skewers were tender, and the satay peanut sauce was fantastic. For drinks, we had iced tea and es cendol; they were just average—nothing particularly special.

Looking for top-notch espresso at an affordable price in the heart of Sydney CBD? Look no further, this is the spot for you!
I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. The crispy chicken was incredibly moist, and the Beef Rendang was tender with a generous amount of flavorful red oil on top. The Nasi Goreng was packed with flavor and the medium spice level was just right. The crispy fried beef was perfectly crunchy and complemented by a rich chili sauce that enhanced the overall taste. The tendon curry dish was truly impressive; although I can’t recall its name, the tendons were exceptionally tender, and the curry sauce paired beautifully with them. The food truly tasted like authentic Indonesian cuisine, and I would definitely come back again.
Went to the Sambal for lunch and had a great feed. Fast service and very friendly team. Only let down was the online ordering system was confusing and frustrating. We were told on arrival that no hard copy menu is available so online ordering is a must. Then another customer entered and was handed a hard copy menu... how strange.
I can't recommend this hidden gem of an Indonesian restaurant enough. The moment you step inside, the enticing aromas will have your stomach craving the delicious and exotic flavors. It's a modest little place, but the food is highly regarded by those who often dine there.

Our bill came to $66 for 4 dishes and 2 drinks, plus a 1% card surcharge. Overall, it was a good meal, but the value could be improved.
