Adanos Grill - Sydney
Adanos Grill
Description
The restaurant offers a vegetarian plate that can easily be made vegan by swapping out one of the dips for a sauce. While the portion size is generous and can be shared between two people, the flavors are described as tasty but nothing particularly exceptional. Some inconsistencies in the dishes were noted, such as missing items and varying qualities. The falafels are mentioned to be dry, and the hummus too acidic, with a mix-up in dairy-containing products. Service is described as disorganized, with cold food being served. However, the kebabs are highly praised for their smoky flavor and tender meat cooked over a charcoal grill. The lamb kebab is specifically highlighted for its delicious taste, alongside a good variety of salads and condiments. Overall, while there are some issues with consistency and service, the kebabs stand out as a recommended option for a flavorful meal experience.

Very much underestimated their vegetarian plate (which can easily be made vegan by switching one of the dips for a sauce). It was a steep $18 for lunch, but then you end up getting what you pay for - in quantity. HUGE plate, I'm sure you could share it between two small eaters. Nothing on it was particularly amazing, but in saying that it was all pretty tasty so can't complain. Well, maybe except for the vine leaves, but I have trouble with that wherever I go.
No kebab tastes as good as one made with meat roasted over a charcoal grill. The smoky flavour, and tender meat will have you never wanting doner kebab meat ever again. I got the lamb today and it, as usual, was great. Very good selection of salads to add to your roll. I always also add hummus and yogurt - delicious!
Me and my friend ordered the same order but are meals ended up being very different. My friends was left out tabouli and mine only got one dolma whereas my friend got two. Additionally I was offered a sauce yet she wasn't. The falafels were very very dry, the hummus tasted like it had a lot of vinegar in it, which didn't help the rest of the dish as the other components already tasted very acidic. The only enjoyable part, in my opinion, was the dolma. They also used the same spoon for the hummus and tzatziki which meant the dairy from the tzatziki was all through the hummus - I can't have dairy so this was a little inconvenient. Would recommend.
The worst gozlem I had in sydney. the soaking in oil, was not fresh and did not even provide a lemon. had two pieces and threw the rest that followed with a bad stomach pain afterwards. I didn't have the other good, but from this experience. would not have been back.
The food at this restaurant is always delicious. They offer options for vegetarians and meat lovers alike, with a variety of Mediterranean salads, dips, and meats to choose from. You can order and pay at the counter, and either enjoy your meal in the open food court seating area or take it to go.
