What petebU6416FC likes about County Fayre:
I haven't been to this restaurant in a while, even though it has new ownership. I ordered the haddock and chips, and the chips were freshly cooked with a crisp exterior and fluffy interior. The fish was tasty with a deliciously crisp batter. View all feedback. What Pinkfiggy doesn't like about County Fayre:

The quality was so poor, the battered sausages were soft and soggy, the chips tasted of old oil and we have both ended up with severely upset tummy’s within half an hour of eating the food. read moreCounty Fayre Fish and Chips has become a point of contention among longtime patrons following a recent change in ownership. While some diners lament the decline in food quality—describing soggy batter, unappetizing swimming chips, and even hygiene concerns—others have experienced a pleasant revival with freshly cooked meals and welcoming service. My favorite fish and chip shop in swindon (and has been for decades)! I had another disappointment at the weekend.
Beautiful fish chips, quite different from others. the chips are bigger, and I guess fried several times? only the problem is parking!
