Absolutely faultless brunch — very much looking forward to trying the menu again. Slightly let down by chaotic ambience front of house and a bizarrely unkempt loo with seat hanging off. Incongruous with the superb food but wouldn't deter a future visit. View all feedback.
What chrissy7759 doesn't like about Bunce's:
Ok Bunces, so you're the most popular cafe in town nailed it. However, it's time to evolve. I called three times to inquire about booking lunch, but no one answered. Despite expecting a wait, we stood next to the counter for five minutes without any acknowledgment. It was clear that the restaurant was severely understaffed. I received a Facebook message response at 4 pm. Although I have enjoyed great food here in the past, we will be going back to the Food Gallery.
The restaurant had a delightful and laid-back ambiance. The coffee was delicious and the cakes were lovely.
Our group of seven was seated in a cozy private room for tea and cake. The cake was incredibly delicious, moist, and the portions were generous. Our server, Evie, was efficient, sweet, and brought smiles to our faces. This restaurant definitely deserves its high ratings and we will definitely be returning!

Delicious cakes and morning snacks and drinks in an original period setting.
