Panera Bread

Panera Bread
4.0 / 5 (789 reviews)

Description

An often-loved bakery-cafe prized for fresh breads, soups, salads, and strong coffee, this Panera draws regulars for bread bowls, espresso, and a relaxed sit-down vibe. Guests praise friendly, lively staff, a tidy, well-stocked menu, and loyalty perks like MyPanera/Sip Club. However, experiences are inconsistent: occasional wrong or diluted orders, dry rolls, unclean tables, understaffed counters, inventory shortages, and reports of rude service and slow pickup mar visits. Prices can feel high, so expect highs and lows depending on timing and staffing.

They literally don't have anyone behind the counter to hand out orders that you place online. I can stand there waiting for 10 minutes and nobody will look at me until I finally wave someone down to just GRAB MY TO GO BAG FOR ME. They claim we are not allowed to grab it ourselves. But no one is literally willing to get it for you. This location is such a joke, and their employees.

We unfortunately have to remove Panera from our list permanently. This isn't the first time we've been dissatisfied with their food service; each time it seems to be getting worse. We've noticed increasing prices and smaller portions, along with a decline in taste and overall experience. Today was the tipping point for us. After placing our order and waiting, we received cold pizza topped with burnt bacon and very few ingredients, just enough to make it look somewhat complete. The oatmeal didn't appear fresh (and I know what I'm talking about), and the sandwich was unrecognizable—it didn't match how it's supposed to look or taste. We ordered two drinks but had to ask for cups, and the woman at the counter was noticeably annoyed when my husband requested them. After seeing the "food," we asked for a refund. This process took a while and led to an unnecessary argument, as the staff openly discussed us among themselves. We returned everything untouched, yet the woman accused us of having an attitude and seemed upset about us not receiving our cup, which had been left on the table. It's disheartening to witness such disrespect and poor training. We remember how things used to be, and as local residents, these changes deeply affect us.
