Wandee Thai - Surry Hills

Was looking for an alternative restaurant after we were turned away from Bodega. Generous serving size, inexpensive in a small canteen-like restaurant. Noisy kitchen crew, talking to each other loudly as if their were no patrons. Food was okay, nothing special. But enough to satisfy our hunger.

Visiting Sydney for a conference, my family and I wanted an easy, tasty meal for dinner. Wandee Thai is almost opposite the hotel we stayed at - within walking distance! Food was excellent value, generous portions and service efficient and friendly. Do not be put off by the simple decor. If you want a quick, tasty Thai meal that is inexpensive, I really recommend Wandee Thai.

We got full portions. the food was just so so for sydney's thai population with amazing food. I would recommend getting half portions here if you're hungry. The staff were friendly and quick with food service.

We wanted to eat at El Loco which is next door but unfortunately it was full so we ended up at this Thai place. It has a simple picture menu with around 20 dishes. I picked the chicken red curry dish which was not very spicey but tasted good and was a big portion. Service was friendly. It is a simple place where you do not go for a romantic dinner but for a simple and quick dinner (or lunch or take-away meal).

Do NOT eat here NO JUST NO Well you can eat here if you want to throw away your money and your taste buds took the night off.
