Vacanza Pizzeria - Surry Hills

Great pizzas on excellent thin chewing bases. Although vacanza says that is less and I could have managed more toppings, there were more than average toppings for this type of pizza and the topping quality and taste was incredible. the prices are similar to the elite pizzas in the cheaper suburbs, so must be a tasty for surry hills or bronte, except that the pizzas but nothing else on the menu bizarre use prices with the in tiny letters on the menu. the lasagne was boring, light on meat and taste, so they stay at the pizzas.

One of the best pizzas I remember. tastefully with a basic that had the perfect amount of crispy. chose the “Da Franco” with burrata three times smoked ham and would highly recommend burrata is amazing! restaurant is byo, which is also a plus.

We went here once evening on the way home from work, having always wondered why it was so busy. However, on this evening it was dead, there was about another 3 or 4 people in the restaurant. We walked in and the waiter asked do we have a reservation, the answer was no. His response was well I will see if I can fit you in. Hang on a minute, in the restaurant that has 3/4 people in with about 15 empty tables? Despite this poor start and against our better judgement, we decided to persevere. The service continued to be poor, didn't fill up the water, brought our pizzas, but no plates so that we could share. The pizzas were tasty, but nothing out of the ordinary. We were here for about 1.5hours and the tables didn't fill up, so the waiter's question regarding the tables was not due to the fact that they had a book full of reservations expected! Given that there are an abundance of pizza places in Surry Hills, good service goes a long way. Had this been a better experience, we may have came back especially when it is on our way home!

My wife and I went to Vancanza on evening and we were advised they were busy but we should get a table in 15 minutes. We waited beside the restaurant. A couple of other groups of 2 and 3 arrived after us and were also waiting. After about 20 minutes I asked the waiter again and he advised another 5 mins. Shortly after another waiter came out and preceded to bring in the other groups that arrived after us. When we complaint no one wanted to listen. We haven't been back. It's Surry Hills there are plenty of other pizza restaurants.

We went for a casual bite with friends. The pizza's were great and the service was good. We enjoyed the casual, relaxed and trendy vibe and decor. Look forward to visiting again soon.
