Well now I know why Polish food hasn't made it to the mainstream.. Don't get me wrong, I don't think there's a problem with the food here, I'm sure the chef followed the recipe and it's an age old one at that, but I don't think I like polish food.
The place is run by a lovely old polish couple, really friendly, great service, that was a plus.

We had a nice meal, but thought that the prices on the high end of what can be considered reasonable. they enjoy the lard for the entrance, and then the duck with orangen as pornstar. the kartoffels that accompany the duck were only so, but the duck was excellent. friends told us that they had problems with the correctness of the bill, so we added all articles and they tried to overload us. that's really unnecessary unless this "very bad"? happens all the time?
I love this place. the personal is friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and the eating is authentic.
Great food, good service but. we have booked our Saturday dinner with friends for 18 o'clock a few days before us. only after the arrival we were informed that we had to go around 19.30. very disappointing. we would not book this restaurant if this condition is submitted to us during booking. Personally, I think that if they spend 300, they should be allowed to eat without stress. eat good, but not sure if we will be back.
Alchemy is a wonderfully authentic Polish restaurant. The food was delicious and I've gone back a few times and the quality has never wavered. The service is second to none. If you miss Poland or enjoy quality authentic Polish food this is the place to go.
We are regulars at Alchemy and just cant get enough. No matter the dish we choose, it is always plate-licking delicious and being Polish myself, I know it is also authentic. The vibe in the restaurant is very homely and the service is so prompt, even when the restaurant is booked out!
