The atmosphere was very European a... read more After shopping, my partner and I decided to try out this Portuguese restaurant that we heard about. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere was very European and the food well prepared. We did have a bit of a long wait but that was possibly our early visit at 5:30. Wine selection was limited but the Jackson-Trigg glass of Cab Sav wine I ordered was absolutely delightful. The buns were freshly baked. Nice touch. We went straight to the entrees. I ordered the mixed grill consisting of lamb, quail, pork and beef with a generous helping of vegetables. The beef steak was cooked to medium exactly as requested. My partner ordered the special called the Cobbler consisting of baked wild caught white fish like a sole but firmer (can't remember name) with capers and raisins, also with a generous helping of vegetables. Both were prepared satisfactorily and delicious. The two entrees came to $46 and the wine $7. Service was very attentive. It's worth a return visit for us.

Another at our table had the rack of lamb medium and it was a bit tough. There was a good wine for a reasonable price on the menu but they had only two bottles of different vintages in stock. The lack of availability and selection of port was very disappointing for a Portuguese restaurant. The service was excellent.
