Ginza Grill - Sumter
Ginza Grill
Description
Nestled in Sumter, this casual sushi spot earns praise for consistently fresh, inventive rolls, speedy, friendly service, and a clean, welcoming dining room. Specials like hibachi and udon impress alongside creative rolls and soy-paper options for those avoiding seaweed. Takeout and delivery are available, and prices are generally reasonable, though a few visitors found some dishes bland or overpriced, experienced sticky tables, a neglected restroom, or unclear promotions. Overall, fast, tasty sushi with occasional service and value inconsistencies.

I tried the Sunset Roll along with an order of Gyoza. The Gyoza was hot and crispy, but overall the dumplings were quite average and lacked flavor. On the other hand, the Sunset Roll was impressive! It featured a smooth, buttery piece of salmon resting on top of a rice-covered salmon tempura, complemented by spicy mayo, eel sauce, avocado, and seaweed. Each bite was packed with flavor! The total came to about $25, and I don't think it offers great value for the price. I've experienced better quality sushi for less in other places. However, considering the location and the limited sushi options, this may be one of your best choices aside from Kobe.

My husband and I have decided to make this our go-to sushi restaurant. The sushi is consistently delicious, and there are a wide variety of options to choose from. The prices are reasonable, and there are some good deals available as well. While the service can be a bit slow at times, the staff is always polite. We usually visit in the evenings when the restaurant isn’t too crowded. Parking is quite convenient, as there is plenty available in the shopping plaza.
This is a fantastic restaurant! Everything was excellent, from the service to the food and the ambiance. I dined in for dinner, and the price was very reasonable at around $10–20 per person. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all as a 5 out of 5. I highly recommend the sushi dishes, and it's a great place for vegetarians as they have a dedicated vegetarian menu. There is ample parking available, with plenty of free spots in the lot.
