Description

Nestled in a charming corner of Summit, this diner has attracted a mix of opinions from patrons. While some rave about its inviting atmosphere and well-prepared meals, others lament issues with cleanliness, service disparities, and lackluster food quality. Key criticisms include dirty utensils and unhelpful staff, overshadowing the potential of a promising menu. Conversely, many diners appreciate the warm service and cozy setting, envisioning it as a reliable local spot. Despite some problems noted, a few loyal customers celebrate it as a family-run gem with heartfelt service. Overall, this diner sparks a divide, prompting a mix of enthusiasm and disappointment.

The Breakfast Wrap was delicious. Nothing necessarily special about it.... cheese, egg, and bacon. But dang it sure hit the spot!

The food was served hot and the French fries were crispy, which is not always the case with takeout. This restaurant exceeded my expectations compared to some pricier places I've ordered from before. The service was also fast.

When I ordered from them I expected that it would be an easy in and out process, yet when I arrived they bumped up the time it would to take to prepare my order on the app. While that is reasonable because it was busy, when I went in they told me that they where out of meatballs and refunded me for the item, that is no big deal. But when they finally gave us our order they didn’t even have the sense to give us utensils or napkins. Thus we asked for them to give us them and they did but after they went and got the order of someone on the other side of the diner, and the whole time we where having this interaction the person who was “helping us” was giving us a plain nasty glare. Once we finally opened the containers, to my chagrin, the french toast was burnt beyond my threshold of willingness to eat.

Breakfast was okay, I ordered the crab cakes benedict. $23 out the door for tip plus coffee and benedict. I generally feel Summit Diner serves up a better crab cake, these felt overdone and very crispy. Enjoyed the service, regular coffee fills and good seating with a nice diner ambiance.Food: 3/5
