We were a large group and had the Chef's selection sharing menu. It included:- sweet potato crisps .... didn't deliver on taste- spring onion, chilli squid - nice- beef croquettes - ok but heavy on the mustard- kingfish sashimi - yum- beef carpaccio - nice if you like raw meat- BBQ king prawns - they weren't very big but they were flavoursome- garfish, citrus salad, rocket and zesty mayo - this one didn't make sense - crumbed fish in fresh salad didn't work for me- sirloin with just wild mushroom - flavoursome- roasted rosemary potatoes, green beans and mixed leaf salad were all good- dark chocolate brownie - YUM!!!- Ricotta and nougat parfait - Very nice.It was an enjoyable meal and there was plenty of food. It was a week night and the service was fine that night.

Just popped in to have a quick drink prior to a dinner-meeting elsewhere, and was pleasantly reminded why I liked the restaurant. The G&T's (Tanqueray 10) were perfectly prepared and we decided to have a quick order of salt&pepper squid to keep us going. Haven't had better Salt & Pepper Squid or G&T's anywhere, so have reminded myself that I must come back for a meal.

I last reviewed Bistro Felix 3 years ago and reported that I loved it. Little has changed since then other than the removal of the white tablecloths which I felt added to its sense of style and the tradition of French Bistros. It’s still good, the food and service remain excellent even on a fairly busy Friday evening. The bill was less this time too now that WA chardonnay from Vasse Felix has been added to the wine list in place of NZ’s Cloudy Bay. It’s as enjoyable as ever with a good atmosphere and one of my favourite restaurants.

During my last visit, we ordered oysters, steak tartare, truffle fries, and the duck main course. The duck dish exceeded my expectations with perfectly cooked skin, tender flesh, crispy eggplant croquette, and a delicious jus. The steak tartare was good but the cured egg was a bit hard, and the truffle fries could have had a stronger truffle flavor. For dessert, the crepes Suzette were a standout choice compared to the moelleux, which was more like a basic chocolate cake. Overall, I enjoy the charming and laid back atmosphere of Bistro Felix. It is a great wine bar bistro with good food and a welcoming vibe.
