We were never disappointed. The presentation and the food was superb! The restaurant staff was not quite as customer-oriented as the other hotel staff, but that would be asking a lot since the hotel staff were SO accommodating. One of our four evenings included a six-course New Year's Eve fare, which was really over the top. Of the six courses, I'd have to say my least favorite was the raw salmon appetizer (just not my favorite, but I'm a picky eater: and the tart dessert. HOWEVER, the quail dish AND the two different types of veal were among the best we've ever had. We would have been happy campers with just those two courses! Both were exquisite! The NYE fare included a wine pairing for each course. I normally choose one of my favorites and stick with it throughout the dining experience, but I decided to trust their expertise and I was not disappointed. The wine's they chose for each course were perfect! I've read a couple of the other reviews and can't imagine how anyone can expect the restaurant staff to control rude guests. That's like expecting flight attendants to control annoying passengers.........they can try, but certainly can't be held accountable for the actions of those who have no respect for others. The restaurant could use a little more ambiance, but it's pretty much what you would expect to find in a very old establishment. If quality food is the goal, I would highly recommend Zeppelino's. Aside from great taste, the presentation was awesome. Eating at the same restaurant four consecutive nights could easily grow old, but that was not the case. There are plenty of options to try; one better than the other! If I had to find a single flaw, it would be that the Käsespätzle was not very cheesy, but after eating it at my favorite (close-to-home master of the dish , it would be difficult to measure up. The tables could also be spaced out a little better; with the distancing measures in place throughout Europe, it felt like too many tables/people too close together. When we return to Stuttgart, we will definitely eat here again! The food was incredible!
