We had dinner at Avellino the evening before our vow renewal brunch at this restaurant group's Function venue, The Barn at Wight Farm. Six of us sat down to a wonderful meal of top quality appetizers and entrées served by a charming server named Elijah. So wanted this to be a great dinner but not so much. We sat outside on a beautiful night. They were clearly short staffed and not adjusting much to help Lauren, our server and bartender, who was awesome. She saved the night. We had Veal Marsala and Pappardelle Bolognese (spelled incorrectly on the menu, fyi restaurant). The veal dish with mushrooms and sort of risotto was ok. The bolognese dish was not bolognese. Mor... Awesome food! The service is even better. Was not expecting this quality of dining experience in the middle of nowhere!
My nursing school graduated 50 years ago in June and we decided to get together and celebrate here. Best idea we could have had! The food is fantastic, the staff is awesome and we had the best time reconnecting with one anther. If you love Italian food come here to eat.
Always a great meal! Love the bread with my Veal Parm! Can't beat the desserts!! Bartenders and wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable of all courses. Have sense of humor and are attentive. Our food runner, Taylor, was phenomenal!
Got take out because we've been meaning to try this Place forever but haven't been to Sturbridge in a while. Food was phenomenal. Will definitely be back!
