There are so few places in Florida with a good Dog so, when we find one... read more Okay, the good; very good chili dogs. We 're from Toledo/Detroit so we know chili dogs. There are so few places in Florida with a good Dog so, when we find one we revisit as time allows. The bad: the guy working there was HORRIBLE! I told him it was our first visit and he just smirked and said what do you need? Not only that, he carried on a conversation with what I would guess is a regular. He brought our food and said there ya go and that was the only thing he said the entire time we were there. It was also pretty dingy (putting it mildly) So: while we liked the dogs okay, we won 't visit this place ever again.

Really neat place to grab a high quality hot dog! I went a spicy Frankfurter so it was a hot dog indeed. I love vintage spots like this. I hope the owners never change a thing. The place is a step back in time in the best way. I tried a hot dog and a fry. The buns were steamed and the bread was like a cloud. The hot dogs were delicious and the bun to meat ratio was perfect. The dogs also had a slightly smokey flavor which was a nice touch. They also had a gentle snap when you bite them. The fries….. the best I’ve had in years and I am a fryoholic. The are hand cut, perfectly cooked and not at all greasy. These guys are professionals. Other places would try to use grease too long or fry at the wrong temperature. I actually went for fries but couldn’t resist having a dog with a bun a big deal I’m gluten free! I am only sorry I didn’t go back the next day had to fly home. Love this place, nostalgia, the food, and the attention to quality. I will be back next time in town.
