Great location, beautiful view and nice atmosphere. Everything else sucks. Didn't seem like anyone knew what was going on. Took forever for our appetizer and meals to leave that kitchen. I ordered the black and blue burger that was a mess. I have never had a burger where the patty was falling apart. When I asked for medium I didn't mean rare right off the cow!! It was so pink and crumbling in my hands! I fed it to my dog. I'm guessing the only reason this place is still in business is because of it's location. Get a new cook!
Jeez, most of these reviews are super old. We just had a superb lunch at the Deck. As always, fantastic view and atmosphere with excellent service. My boyfriend always has the Cuban and says it's excellent; I had the blackened mahi sandwich and it was fresh and perfectly cooked, with a tasty sauce to go with it. Could the decor use a little updating? Sure. Could it use a coat of paint. I suppose. I think it all adds to the divey charm. Certainly worth a weekend lunch adventure and we'll be back for the seafood chowder!
If you have a boat/jetski and are looking for lunch, this was a cute little spot that just reopened ON THE WATER. We pulled up with ease, we're seated right away, AND it was nice and quiet. Will definitely be going back again!
The restaurant may not be extravagant, but it offers a lovely view of the marina. I tried the Cuban sandwich, and it was delicious! My husband had the blackened mahi tacos, which were also quite tasty. While the decor could use some refreshing, the food was flavorful and well-prepared. It's a perfect spot for a quick lunch.
Fancy. Trendy. Upscale. If you 're looking for that, go somewhere else. If you want a buttoned down night out, this is a great choice. The Deck is the most comfortable place I 've come across here in Stuart. I 'm not a local but I 've met plenty of them at this great little spot between the two bridges. If you 're looking for somewhere to relax and meet some down to earth people, this is the real deal. Nestled in the North River Shores area, this bar and restaurant keeps it simple with well prepared comfort food and reasonably priced drinks in a casual setting. There 's live music outside four nights a week and the marina just adds to the charm. And those sunsets! They 're scheduled every night weather permitting. Most of all it 's the people here who set The Deck apart from their competition. The staff is always hustling and despite some of the complaints you may read, the service here is very good. Jackie, the bartender, is on top of her game. She can sling drinks with the best of 'em and make you feel like a regular even if you 're a newcomer. But it 's the crowd on the fun side of the bar who steals the show. Yes, it 's a somewhat more mature bunch but hey, it 's Florida. You may meet an engineer, a nurse, a firefighter, a broker or a biker. You 'll definitely meet a yachtsman, a captain or a fisherman. Blue collar, white collar, no collar everyone is welcome. The conversation is always entertaining and if Ireland had palm trees, this place would make a helluva local pub somewhere on the Dingle Peninsula. The food is excellent. It isn 't gourmet but it 's better than any of the corporate restaurants that inundate the area or some of the over priced favorites of the octogenarian crowd. I dare you to find a better burger anywhere in Martin County. It 's affordably priced too. So why is The Deck a better option than some of the other joints on the other side of the bridge? As one old salt said to me, There 's a lot less plastic here. He wasn 't talking about the place settings. If that 's your thing, enjoy. If you want to meet some real folks, have a solid meal, and enjoy some fairly priced adult beverages, then visit The Deck. I may be headed back north but I 'm gonna miss this place.
