Feedback
A recent review of a popular restaurant provided varying opinions on the overall experience. While some diners expressed their disappointment with the lackluster service and underwhelming food quality, others highlighted positive aspects such as attentive wait staff and friendly chefs. The restaurant boasts a newly renovated decor and offers a riverside dining experience with picturesque views. The diverse menu includes sushi options and great happy hour specials. Despite mixed reviews, the ambiance and location of this restaurant seem to be its standout features.
I’m not sure what’s happened to Benihana but the customer service is terrible and the amount of food they give you and the prices have changed so much it’s just not worth ever going back again. We got there at 6:31 our reservation was for 630, we were not seated until 7. When I asked how long it would be until we would be seated the Spanish guy with the balding hair gave me an attitude and replied that “we would be next”. No other explanation than that. I said I’d like to know how long as it does matter, we’re hungry, what’s the point of making a reservation if you don’t honor them? then when they finally do seat you they want to Jam Pack as many people as possible making it uncomfortable for your party hence the delay on the reservation. So if you don’t have a party that’s big enough for them to profit off of, they just make you sit and wait there until one shows up: I was given 3 little pieces of zucchini for a 40$ meal. We paid 270$ for four people including a child with a tip. 20$ for his meal for a 4oz piece of chicken and 6$ extra for fried rice, And even though we paid extra for ALL of our fried rice the chef was giving the leftovers to the other person at our table for free. Which is absolutely absurd and tacky too. I had to beg for a photo from the server as he was in such a hurry to clean up and get us out of there. When we got the photo my mother’s mouth was completely open, looking as if she had some type of disability I mean seriously? Who would send a photo like that home for a birthday celebration? He clearly just wanted us gone. After we left we saw him outside smoking a ciggerette haha no wonder we were rushed out the door! We can’t even keep the photo it’s so bad. We can go to the Gafford or Fujiyama and have a better meal for a lot less. We will not be back!
WORST experience ever! The hostess didn 't walk us to our table so we were standing in the hallway waiting and had to ask a server where to sit who then went and got a hostess to seat us. Then our waiter had zero personality and acted like he didn 't want to be there. Our chef had no personality and the whole experience was boring and uneventful. The food was mediocre and we could have had better at a take out somewhere. When I called the restaurant after, I had to speak with 2 people before I spoke with the general manager Willis who could have cares less and offered me coupons. I declined because we will never go back there. Also, you 'd find a nicer, cleaner bathroom at a truck stop. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere
Felix was our chef and did a great job as did the young gentleman who served our beverages and tended to our table (can't remember his name ...sorry) We were a party of 6 and it was a really nice time, and the food was all fresh a very good. Added bonus was the veiw of the water. It was very clean and serrvice and food both were very good. Highly recommend. We will most deffinitly be back.
Beware of wine pricing by the glass. Menu showed $15-16 per glass. However we were charged $24.20 per glass which works out to over $48.00 for 2 glasses of everyday wine.
I informed the restaurant staff that my daughter had allergies to sunflower, dairy, and nuts, but unfortunately they failed to mention that the oil they used contained sunflower. This led to my 2-year-old daughter having an allergic reaction and we had to leave the restaurant. The server and cook were good, but they need to be more attentive when customers disclose their allergies.
