What BevElizabeth doesn't like about The Ram Inn:
Booked in advance and would probably recommend as it was busy. Staff so welcoming and very hard working, ensuring all guests were looked after. Food was delicious and good sized portions and value for money. Would definitely revisit if in the area. View all feedback.
By far the best atmosphere , staff and food around. The menu is varied and caters for everyone. Big portions, tasty food. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great selection of beers, lager, wines, gin etc. Gentle music playing, just wonderful
Food was piping hot , and the best pub food we’ve had in a long time, I had pie of the day , my husband had goats cheese , spinach and potato pie , both with chips
Visited the Ram last night with 8 others on our monthly Pie Pint night out. Pre ordered as we were quite a large group and the food did not disappoint. Excellent food, good portions and reasonably priced, Butcome and Butcome Rare Breed as well as Tim Taylor on tap. John and his staff where friendly, welcoming and efficient. Couldnt fault them. We will definitely be back.
My wife, a friend and I visited The Ram earlier today for lunch. We were made very welcome by the two young waitresses Emma and Tash. My wife and I chose the mint lamb shank with a choice of chips or boiled potatoes and seasonal vegetables and our friend the breaded scampi, chips and salad. Both my wife and I were highly impressed with the quality of the lamb shank not to mention the delicious chips and nicely cooked vegetables. I never give 100% since I don’t believe in absolute perfection but this meal scored 95% something which I have not experienced for a long, long time. Congratulations must go to the chef proprietor Melissa. Although our friend lives locally, we travelled from Gloucester which took about 30 minutes. I would not hesitate returning to this pub due to the staff and the high standard of food provided.
This is an interesting, traditional local pub, that is evidently super popular with locals as on a Friday lunchtime, they were pretty full and we were lucky to get a table. The food is good, traditional pub grub like cod goujon sandwich, burgers, scampi chips. Service was a little slow but it was super busy. Food was well cooked, staff were friendly and we had an enjoyable time there.
