Terrible piped music, too loud, very unnecessary, speakers in every area so no escape, terrible, shame as pub looks nice, it's a big pub so surely there is room for a quiet drink and chat

Went for Xmas Roast with family…. And the pub was extremely busy …. All Staff were friendly and accommodating service with a smile …. Couldn’t do enough for us …. Food plentiful and excellent quality …. Would recommend and will be returning in the new year !!! I got food poisoning from this restaurant. I ordered the beef and vegetable pie with chips and mushy peas and spent the next day vomiting. When I called to inform them, there was no care or concern shown. It ruined what was otherwise a nice weekend.

Absolutely fantastic food, very easy to find, it was recommended by a local hotel very clean and tidy and staff couldn't do no wrong.

We visited for dinner, great local pub with a good atmosphere, and choice of beers and lagers., everything you want from a traditional English pub. The food we had was very good, well cooked and reasonably priced as well, and served promptly., and there is a good choice on the menu, plus daily specials as well. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, and we were made to feel very welcome. If you are in the area would recommend you visit this pub you would not be disappointed, we only found it on the last night of a two night break so we only ate here once, but the food and service was the best we have had when eating out for a long time. Our total bill for food and drinks was £60.00 so it is great value for money as well. A little gem!!
