Jk's At St. Michaels - Stroud

Very narrow a la carte menu with limited but inexpensive, wein selection 15-30.) good special menu to add the printed menu with a large selection of meat in dressed. the castlebriand was unusual, and unfortunately rather past medium, but other dishes went better, but not enthusiastic. very large pudding selection would have been happy. helpful staff/service. ourselves came with a cheeseboard for us, although it wasn't on the menu. We received an apology for a very loud couple that boomed all the way through the dinner, including a long facetime call to the family, which would rather affect everyone in the restaurant.

Well, we booked here at recommedations, we were not dissapointed. When we came in, we felt welcome, it was like going to someone's house. there was a great party of the owners friends and it was a great atmosphere. eating was amazing with a romance swirl, with lonely portions. the owners were very attentive and made sure that we enjoyed our time there. keep the big workers up. we will visit again when in this wonderful opposite.

We had a lovely lunch . Fresh , home cooked food I had some very tender duck and salad and we shared a delicious fresh fruit tart with coffee .Very attentive service great.

A friendly welcome and good service. Excellent dinner. Great dishes, beautifully cooked with quality ingredients. Good value too. Recommended.

We didn’t eat here as the restaurant wasn’t open on a Monday, however, our room was spotless and lovely. Each room had a different theme. The breakfast was incredible. So much food but catered per couple so we had a variety of everything. Any left overs could be taken away. Staff were really lovely too. Would stay in Painswick again but there isn’t much to do there. Good as a base location to explore the area.
