What DUVAL STEVEN BARBOSA AFANADOR doesn't like about Galgos Latino:
I couldn't eat two out of the three dishes I ordered. The stew chicken and chicken empanada were both quite disappointing. The smell of the meat made me think it wasn't fresh. Overall, it wasn't a great experience. Service was for dine-in, and I spent between £30 and £40 for dinner. View all feedback.
After years of screaming at the lack of good Latin American food in the wilts Glos region, I almost stumbled out on galgos. I immediately yelled at my Stroud-based friends, because I didn't tell myself they had a freaking Venezuelan restaurant in their city! and then went to order all the food (it was definitiw too much to eat and I had to take home, but it was so worth it that they should try: the tequeños. ask each Venezuelan and they will tell them that we all miss most. these are our mini castors, our mini pot pees. the finger food we're messing with at the parties. I love this thing. the patacons, because this is better with fried plantains. preferably with cheese or roasted pork or both. a mixture of carne Mechada/Black Beans/Rice tajadas. because it is our national dish and super tasty. they bring their friends because it's a lot to eat. order a cocktail or two because they are ingenious (also the mocktails! they have a chat with oriana that is as beautiful as the place they own. enjoy the equipment and the music. If they are not full after eating, order a tres leches cake. if they are full, they will order it anyway. take it home and enjoy it later with a brew while thinking when they can go back to eat more.
Had an excellent meal on Taco Tuesday. Great food, great beer and lovely atmosphere. Really pleased we chose to eat here for a rare meal on a school night, will definitely be visiting again to try more of the amazing menu choices.
Visiting Bibury We entered a Gallery, this Gallery had incredible works of art, there a charming lady attended us, she asked us where we come from and when we answered Venezuela she got excited, she told us she visited Venezuela 15 years ago, specifically Los Tepuis, she immediately told us about a Latin restaurant with a Venezuelan touch, we immediately called and booked. So we came to Galgos Latino and ate the best Tequeños we have had in a while.
Great food, cocktails and atmosphere. Fresh and varied menu perfect for large groups wanting to try some authentic Latin cuisine. Very friendly staff too. Will definitely return.
Great menu, with small plates (ideal for sharing) from a range of different South American countries, and plenty of vegetarian options. Everything we ordered was delicious! Loved the fun, colourful decor and service was super friendly and efficient too.
