This is a nice wee chip shop as far as chip shops go, in fact it's my fast food eatery of choice in the area. Parking is either outside where I reckon you could fit three cars maximum or round the corner in the Co-op car park. The Co-op operates a fining system for non-customers although I've yet to see their car park anywhere near approaching full so I think it would be ok for the ten minutes it takes to get your meal. The staff are friendly and the premises are clean. The food is well cooked (obviously they change their fat often as the chips are never soggy) and at a reasonable price. The food is the standard type you find in a chip shop, nothing fancy but good food all the same. They still sell sweets out of the jar which I find charming. You can take out or eat in at one of the few tables there are.
This is a fish and chip shop located on barn street. It is relatively small however there are a few tables and chairs so you have the option of sitting in or taking away. They sell the usual sausage, fish, chicken etc. They also sell a selection of sweets and drinks. The prices are reasonable. Located on the main road you are lucky to get a parking space outside but there are other car parking places located not too far from the shop.
I live across the road from Chip Barn and can recommend this shop for excellent fish suppers and parking can be found at the coop . There is no longer a parking attendant. From Echoes neighbour.
I used to visit this restaurant with my family as a child. I recently returned on the weekend and was delighted to see that it has not changed at all over the years. The family-owned business still serves the same delicious food. The walls and windows are still lined with jars of sweets just like I remember. I will definitely be returning.
