Johnny Wishbone - STRATHALBYN
Johnny Wishbone
Description
Nestled in the heart of STRATHALBYN, this restaurant elicits mixed feelings from patrons. While some laud its nostalgic atmosphere and the exceptional quality of dishes like honey chicken and special fried rice, others lament subpar experiences, citing issues with cleanliness and service. Reviews highlight delightful prawn chips and the best hot chips in the area, but criticisms of tasteless meals and poor order fulfillment persist. The price range of $1–40 per person indicates affordability, yet the inconsistency in food quality leaves many unsure about a return visit. Overall, a dining experience that is as unpredictable as it is varied.

Nice meat from here and affordable prices for what you want don't live close enough to shop there all the time though. Price per person: $20–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The most revolting Thai chicken I’ve ever had. It was tasteless and I swear they ran out of sauce and substituted by filling the container with 3/4 cup of canola oil. Hire me and I’ll teach you to cook. You need the help. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–20 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3
Ordered beef chow mein, picked it up what looked like to be fried noodles, with soggy vegetables and reheated beef with the bottom container full of slime, called to speak and got ‘that’s just our usual sorry’ and hung up on. Definitely do not recommend, wouldn’t give it to my dog Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Best hot chips in Strathalbyn, crispy crunchy and perfectly cooked everytime. The place could do with a spruce up, but don't let that deter you from missing out on some fantastic hot chips. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $1–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 2
