I had the vegan tacos and they were good. Interesting flavor with the curry-I wasn't sure if I liked them or not but it was better with each bite. My husband, daughter, and I are on holiday from Derry, and we stopped by today for some fish and chips. When we arrived, there was a book launch taking place, but we were warmly welcomed and offered drinks and finger food while we waited for our meal. The place is beautiful, the staff are very friendly, and the food is exceptional. The fish and chips were the finest we've ever had anywhere in Ireland. Yesterday, we enjoyed some coffee and pastries, which were incredible—great locally sourced coffee and cakes that are definitely worth the visit to Strandhill. We will definitely be returning to try more delicious food and take in everything Strandhill has to offer.
We absolutely loved Shells! We made the trip from Westport yesterday, and it exceeded our expectations. The food was delicious, and the staff were fantastic; the entire experience was wonderful! There was a girl working in the shop (we unfortunately didn't catch her name), but she was incredibly friendly, helpful, and just an all-around lovely person. She also made the best Vietnamese iced coffee. We will definitely be returning! Best, Clodagh, Denis, and baby Maisie.
This place is a true gem! The coffee is outstanding, and the fish is the best I've had in a long time. The staff are fantastic, and the location is perfect. It's definitely worth a visit while you're traveling along the Wild Atlantic Way.
I have been to Shells on a number of occasions every time I have really enjoyed the food the friendly atmosphere. The location is lovely, just beside the beach, overlooking the ocean. I love the choice of food on offer...it's both tasty and also you have healthy options. The staff are very helpful even if it is very busy, you won't be waiting to long for a table. If you are in Strandhill I would definitely recommend Shells cafe, whether it's lunch or just a relaxing coffee, it's well worth a visit.
Had the Thai Calamari Salad and was so yummy...defo recommend and will be back staff very friendly too and the view wasnt too bad

The vegan options here are incredibly delicious; I absolutely love this place! They’re actively working on expanding their vegan menu, so be sure to visit and demonstrate that the demand for veganism is on the rise! This is a lovely, cozy café that offers a variety of vegan and vegetarian options. The business next door also has excellent vegan chocolate!
The restaurant has a delightful seaside aesthetic and offers a selection of local brews. They serve a daily vegetarian dish and also feature an open vegan sandwich. I tried the seaweed pesto penne with zucchini ribbons and asparagus, and it was so good that I almost wanted to lick the bowl!
