It was Sunday and we did not wish to have the buffet which seemed to annoy the staff. We were placed on a table and forgotten about. My son ordered an Irish coffee and I had to ask three times before they brought it. My mother is in her mid-eighties and decided to go after waiting for 30 minutes with no sign of the food coming. As we had paid they gave us a carry out of cold mash and dry chicken, forgetting the chips. I felt guilty as it was my decision to go there but never again, and gave my son a very bad impression of so called Irish hospitality. Perhaps if you are local you receive good service (although mum lives 2 miles away) but we were treated disgracefully. Needless to say the next time I visit mum we will go elsewhere and I suggest you all do the same if you are not a regular.

We ordered the £29.95 sirloin steak special, which came with a bottle of wine for two, three side dishes, and two sauces. The portions were all large, and the service and food were both excellent.

Like a lot of places they... read more Only gave two stars for food, i have a milk allergy and just found they weren't prepared for that even though we advised when booking. Like a lot of places they take out the items with milk in the ingredients but don't replace with anything extra eg. I couldn't have the crispy onions so the plate was left bare instead of replacing with fried onions. This happens a lot, not just here. Staff very friendly.
