Despite the burger being labeled as vegan, there was... read more The vegan plant-based burger on the menu at this restaurant came with grilled halloumi, which is not vegan. Despite the burger being labeled as vegan, there was no indication that the halloumi was not vegan. When I explained to the manager that I had a soy allergy and requested a vegan dish, they said they would make the butternut squash and eggplant dish vegan and soy-free. I specifically asked for the Dauphinoise potatoes to be vegan as well, and was assured by the kitchen that they would be made soy-free. However, when the dish arrived, the eggplant was cold and unappetizing. When I raised my concerns with the manager, I was told that he had personally checked the dish and deemed it suitable. Some members of our group also found the Dauphinoise potatoes to not taste vegan. It is disappointing that despite reaching out via email prior to our visit to inquire about vegan and soy-free options, the miscommunication and errors in the kitchen resulted in a less than satisfactory dining experience.
