This is one of my favorite restaurants! They offer healthy, traditional meals that remind me of home. You absolutely have to try their chicken soup; they serve it almost every Monday! View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Uncle Jakes:
Friendly staff. Typical smaller town restaurant, older and worn inside. Food delivered was hot but not as expected/hoped for. A deluxe burger had an extremely small beef patty. A chicken dinner had dried out, over cooked chicken served with frozen mixed vegetables. This family restaurant is situated in Clearspring Mall in Steinbach and provides excellent service alongside delicious food. They offer a variety of dishes, from traditional Mennonite favorites to tasty fish and chips and poutine. The burgers are particularly mouthwatering and flavorful. You'll find plenty of space here, making it a comfortable place to dine. Be sure to stop by on your next visit to Steinbach. The restaurant is also wheelchair accessible.

Very nice servers. Food is good. Prices are decent. Dining area is spacious.

Paid $30 for 2 meals and a drink Ordered their ruben sandwich and fries. Had to pay extra for thousand island.. got 2 ounces of meat when any good restaurant knows its 6 ounces.. bread was soggy sauerkraut was very skimpy and the fries were old so they cut corners and threw them back in fryer which turned them dark brown. We mentioned this and got new fries. Used to be better than this but that was the frozen chicken fingers... will not go back...what a joke and rip off! Ohhh... and was also charged over 3 dollars for one small scoop of mashed pototoes for my baby a year before this. ..Sals gave it to me for free.
