Contribute FeedbackThis restaurant, owned by Alterra, offers mediocre food at high prices with poor value. The lack of customer care and high costs were disappointing to many diners. However, some found the drinks and service to be good, despite messy dishes like Sticky Pork Ribs. Despite some negative experiences, others were pleasantly surprised by the interesting food choices and well-prepared dishes, becoming a good value with ski ticket discounts. The pleasant atmosphere and great views added to the overall enjoyable dining experience, making it a nice option for a meal at the base of the mountain.
Food was very meh burger was burnt, chicken tenders tasted like they were frozen, and service was bad. $50 lunch and you get a 4oz condiment cup for water and they do not provide recycling. Only positive was the Mountain lager from a local brewery. Protect Our Winters and skip Timber TorchFood: 2/5
Overpriced and the Nashville Hot Chicken was almost inedibly burned. When we asked if it was supposed to be like that, the server said yes. Everything else was meh except the brownie sundae which was great.
Some of the best slope-side dining/bar views you can get. Sit next to a fire pit or under the heated overhang while you watch people finish their runs on the mountain. Typical bar menu and fairly good food (on mountain markup to be expected). The seating can get full inside, but they do offer to-go and our order was filled quickly.
This restaurant is owned and operated by Alterra, the parent company of Steamboat Resort. They also run Four Points/Rendezvous lodges and Routties BBQ, all of which serve mediocre food in small portions at high prices and pay their staff poorly. Expect to pay a premium for low-quality food that likely came from a Sysco truck. The employees here do not seem to care about customer satisfaction or making special orders. The prices are outrageous, such as $9 for a dry pretzel or $10 for a draft domestic light beer. The lack of value for the high cost is disappointing. I regret paying $19 for my child's small and cold burger. After waiting months to write this review, I am still upset about the unacceptable prices and poor quality. I will not be returning to any of the resort-owned properties. It is a lose-lose situation for both customers and employees.
I was not impressed with this restaurant, despite Winter House filming here during my visit. The Sticky Pork Ribs lacked meat and were messy, not worth the hassle. The Pork Belly Steam Buns were tasty but fell apart easily. The $9 Pretzel was not very soft. The drinks were good and the service was attentive, with no rush to leave after being seated promptly.
