My man and I reached this restaurant by chance, and we were very glad about it, because everything was so great that eating out and piera the owner. the dishes... read more My man and I reached this restaurant by chance, and we were very glad about it, because everything was so great that eating out and piera the owner. the dishes seemed to be local specialties, for example filled zucchini, roasted auberginen, and...of course there were also classical Italian dishes. while we were sitting in the garden of the restaurant, we enjoyed the view of the high surrounding mountains as well as the beautiful flowers and plants. and not least piera is a very nice woman, and when she does not know the English name of a particular schirr, she went into the kitchen and showed us!

My wife and I ate in vallechiara after the recommandation of the guide in antro del corchia (the deep cave in corchia mountain.) the chef (and owner, I think) o... read more My wife and I ate in vallechiara after the recommandation of the guide in antro del corchia (the deep cave in corchia mountain.) the chef (and owner, I think) of vallechiara is a speleologist, and she was actually host of the speleology club in the evening we...we received the warmest reception and sat on a table. the evening reached near the perfection when the food arrived. we had changed throughout the day so that we were happy to see a large plate of antipasti (picture) arriving, with lardo and pastri, raw ham, salame, two pieces pizza, and a baptism of others. followed tordellis, the local pasta and a large piece of kalbs with a plate spinat. the table wine was also good (bottle with Vallechiara label), and so was the desert (home made flourless cake excellent with pralins.) we recommend this restaurant for service and eating. ideal for families and couples, especially after a long walk in alpi apuane. we traveled two weeks in italy (cinque terre alpi apuane toskana) and we think our dinner in vallechiara was the best quality / quantity worth. 50 euro for a tonne high-quality eating, wein and zitronecelo included, that is hard to beat.
